Expect to save about ten minutes each morning. Over six weeks that adds up to a couple of hours, which for commuters heading to Antwerp or Brussels turns out to be the real argument.
On the first day you leave the lashes alone: no steam, no sauna, no waterproof mascara. After that everything is allowed again, swimming included. If you still want mascara, use a regular formula; waterproof remover tugs at the curl.
Duffel sits on the Antwerp–Mechelen line, so you can plan the appointment without a car: get off at Mechelen station, then a fifteen-minute walk or five minutes by bus.
